The Opportunity
The Electricity Engineers' Association of New Zealand (EEA) is the national representative body for engineers and technical staff in the electricity supply industry. Its key role is to provide the industry with leadership, expertise and information on relevant technical, engineering and safety issues.

The Challenge
EEA's membership includes a number of individuals who not only have decades of experience under their belts but also have made a significant difference to the electricity industry - contributing their expertise, wisdom and time to helping the industry succeed.

Wishing to recognise these lifetime achievements, EEA commissioned Brand Motto to design a tangible award - something that could be bestowed with dignity and honour and that would be treasured and proudly displayed by the recipient. Something that would stand out from other awards and certificates and convey 'mana' and professional and personal integrity. Something that would stand the test of time and be highly regarded by every generation.

The Result
Brand Motto designed and arranged the production of a presentation medal, meticulously crafted from solid brass.

The design on the medal's face reflects the electricity industry, with stylised silver ferns lining the circumference to create a visual impression of energy while reinforcing the EEA brand. Each recipient's name is engraved on the back and the medal encased in a purpose-designed, transparent case to sit elegantly on a mantelpiece or desk.
